The Amatus Foundation has donated exercise books and other learning materials to basic schools in Nanvili and surrounding communities, bringing relief to pupils and teachers while reaffirming the importance of community support for education.
The Foundation visited Kulpieni R/C Primary School and Nanvili R/C JHS, where it presented educational materials to assist teaching and learning. At Kulpieni R/C Primary School, the Foundation donated 20 exercise books, while the Assembly Member for the area pledged to provide additional exercise books to support the school.
At Nanvili R/C JHS, the Foundation donated 35 exercise books and three dusters to support students and teachers in their academic activities.
The donation was met with visible excitement among the children. Their cheerful reactions, including clapping and cheering as they received the items, reflected the joy that such a gesture can bring to young learners who often face difficulties securing basic educational materials.
For many children in underserved communities, items such as exercise books, pens, pencils and other learning essentials cannot always be taken for granted. Some pupils struggle to obtain these materials, even when they are eager to learn. Consequently, having an individual or organisation step forward to meet such a need can make a meaningful difference in their educational experience.
