The Fountain Gate Chapel, Sankana and its International Partners Cleaned up the Sankana Community

A team of American Faith family organisation, a non-denominational group, has joined forces with Fountain Gate Chapel in Sankana to establish the Jesus School of Discipleship, a mission-driven institution designed to strengthen evangelism, shape Christian character, and promote community development. The school, located at Campus 30 in Sankana, was officially launched with a firm commitment to raising disciples and spreading the Gospel.

Beyond its spiritual mission, the new discipleship school has pledged to support the community through practical social initiatives including sanitation education, health awareness, and regular clean-up exercises. This pledge was put into action today, as Ghana marked National Sanitation Day.

Members of the Fountain Gate Church, together with their American partners, stormed the streets of Sankana with brooms, rakes, shovels and waste sacks, vigorously sweeping and clearing refuse from public spaces. Their aim, according to church leaders, is to help create a clean, healthy environment while setting an example for community involvement in sanitation practices.

Residents of Sankana watched the exercise with joy as some expressed satisfaction with the energy and purpose with which the group worked. The residents described the initiative as timely, applauding the effort to encourage a healthier lifestyle and reduce the spread of sanitation-related diseases.

Hon. Blaise, Assemblyman for the Sankana Electoral Area, commended Fountain Gate Chapel and their international partners for what he termed “a commendable and purposeful initiative that brings both spiritual growth and physical development to our community.” He assured them of the full support of Sankana residents as they continue their mission of service.

The establishment of the Jesus School of Discipleship marks a new chapter for Sankana — one that blends faith with social responsibility. As the church and its partners continue their outreach, many believe the initiative will not only transform lives spiritually but also improve community health and environmental consciousness for years to come.
